IOS 9 was released on the 16th so we're going to go over some changes that IOS 9 brought to the table. At first glance it may seem that not much has changed but there is actually a lot to talk about here.
iPads now have a much needed feature that most people are familiar with -- split screen! Yes! iPad owners can now multi-task by having two apps open at a time, just slide your finger in from the right and you're good to go. Now you can enjoy your favorite show and check your email at the same time. The possibilities are endless.
Save Your Battery, And Your Connection
Next on our list is Wi-Fi. With IOS 9 you can turn on a feature called "Wi-Fi Assist" which automatically forgets weak Wi-Fi signals. This could come in handy when you're out and about to avoid automatically connecting to a weak Wi-Fi signal and slowing down your internet connection.
Zoom In On Your Videos
Now with your videos you can zoom in and out just as you can with photos. There is also a new way of choosing video and slow motion recording modes as long as your device supports them. To see these, open up settings, tap on photos & camera and look under the camera heading.
Speaking of photos and video, there is now a folder that all of your selfies automatically go into, making it easier to find all those awesome selfie stick pictures! You can also now hide all of those pictures that you don't want people to accidentally see when handling your phone. Just tap the share icon and you will now see an option that says "hide". They will still show in the albums tab and you can "unhide" them that way as well if you later decided to change your mind.
Lastly with IOS 9 they made a lot of changes to how Siri searches things on the web and now has improved accuracy when it comes to voice recognition. One of our favorite newest features is that Siri can now be activated by saying "Hey Siri" even when not connected to a charger, so you can make those searches a lot quicker.
All of these new features are now available with the new IOS update. Which feature is your favorite? Let us know!
